23 May 2025 - Factory Repairs and Last Day at Alliance Factory

0430 hrs came very early for us this morning, but it was worth it.  We got things wrapped up here, hoses stowed, inside stuff stowed, slide-outs in, and family moved to the truck.  They came after our coach right at 0600 hrs and backed it inside.  The picture above captures the technician working on the inside preparing to replace the rear air conditioner.  Outside another technician was on a tall ladder replacing part of our front decal.

Our new Coleman-Mach rooftop air conditioner

The lower part of the large "A" decal was replaced

Since we had the dog, our breakfast was in our truck, so we camped out in the McDonalds parking lot as we waited for our coach to get done.  Based on the camera view about 0930 hrs we headed back to the factory and hung out there for a bit before getting the call that our coach was done.  I hooked on to it and put it back in our camping spot for one more night.

Our friends from Georgia, Ralph and Lindy, arrived as they will be staying here tonight and then our friends from Arkansas, Mike and Rachel, arrived as well.  We met a couple from the Minneapolis area who pulled in next to us.  They bought their camper from Good Life RV in Bevington, the same place and the same salesperson where we got ours.  Small world.

This afternoon I attended a FamAlly Cares, Inc board meeting in preparation for the Rally this coming week.  We have a lot of moving parts going on during the Rally but we have a whole bunch of great volunteers that will surely make it run like clockwork.

Tomorrow (Saturday) morning we move from the factory camping site to the Elkhart County 4H Fairgrounds campground in Goshen IN in preparation for the Rally.  They are projecting well over 400 Alliance RV's attending and nearly 800 people not including the factory personnel that will be all over the place performing repair work as identified in advance by the attendees.  Since they did two of my items at the factory, I just have one remaining - testing and repairs to my levelers.

Later tomorrow, after we get set-up, Doreen and I will drive north to Three Rivers MI to meet daughter Jennifer and her family for lunch.  In addition to Jennifer & crew, James mom from Alaska will be joining us for lunch as she is down here to attend Lucas's high school graduation next weekend.

Lindsey, Jennifer, James and Lucas at Lindsey's
National Honor Society induction last week.
