19 May 2025 - Arrived at Stop #14 Elkhart Campground IN + Sofa/Sleeper Installation

Early to rise this morning as we prepared to depart the Caboose Lake Campground in Remington IN.  We had an 1100 hrs EDT appointment at Bradd & Hall in Elkhart to get our new sofa/sleeper installed so we rolled at 0530 hrs this morning and got on the road at  0654 hrs and arrived at 1043 hrs.

The Bradd and Hall technicians did the removal of our old sofa/sleeper and installation of the new one in their driveway.  They have RV electrical  hookups on both sides of their driveway for their customers to use while waiting. To open the slides your coach needs to be fairly level, so we went ahead and powered-up, unhooked and leveled, then deployed the slides.

Before - our old sofa/sleeper

After - this new one has a center arm rest with USB & inductive cell phone charger

The new one with the bed deployed,  This one has a mattress!

They also installed a USB & inductive cell phone charger in our Love seat armrest

The Bradd & Hall folks wrapped things up in about two hours and we were back on the road for a short 15 minute drive to the Elkhart campground.  We were checked in quickly and made our way to our campsite for the next three nights.  As we drove to our site we saw Alliance coaches all over the place, and familiar faces too!  For the next couple weeks we will be surrounded by friends from all over the country. Not long after pulling into our site our great friends Mike and Rachel Ellis from Arkansas dropped by to say hello, to see our new sofa/sleeper and bring refreshments!
Mike Ellis, Rachel Ellis and Doreen.

Later we walked Liberty around the campground and we were reunited with FamAlly!  We spent more time talking and laughing and not so much time taking pictures.  I'll do better tomorrow. We will be here two more nights after tonight and then Thursday we move to the Alliance Factory and their camping spaces as we have to be there Friday morning at 0600 hrs for some minor service work.  Then after the service work is done we will again stay there overnight and move to the Elkhart County 4H Fairgrounds Campground Saturday morning and stay there through the duration of the Rally the end of next week.
