It is our last day here at Griff's Valley View RV Park just a few miles from Ankeny IA where we live six months out of the year. We had an awesome stay! Here is what we have been up to:
- Completed a few RV projects (already posted the pictures). The thermostats are done and working great. The new potty is "operational ha ha. The receiver and key fob for the bed linear actuator project was defective and a replacement just arrived, so that is not yet done.
- Did some yard work at our winter home- some fun!
- Spent some quality pew-pew time blowing holes in targets at the shooting range with my Ruger Mark IV with Silencerco Hybrid 46DT suppressor, and my new Beretta M9, same as I carried in Iraq.
- Won an auction bid for a couple bayonets for my M1 Garand rifle
- Watched both Ankeny grandson's play some great baseball including some awesome pitching and catching by Daniel and a grand slam by Calvin
- Spent some fun time with our daughters Jennifer (Battle Creek MI) and Michelle (Oak Creek WI)
- Got caught up with grandson's (Michelle's son) Joe, white shirt; and (Jennifer's son) Lucas, red shirt. We will be attending Lucas's high school graduation in a couple weeks in Battle Creek MI then he leaves for Army basic training!
- Spent some time catching up with niece Melanie and her family, Mel is more like a daughter to us and her kids more like grandkids!
- Spent some fun time with our son Dan and his family
- Helped with post-graduation party prep
- Attended grand daughter Hailee's high school graduation ceremony and celebration where we saw a lot of friends! Hailee has enrolled in cosmetology school in Ames IA and it starts in August. In the mean time she has been working at a Salon Spa here in Ankeny
Yellow was Phase 1 which is done!
