Nothing significant to report today. It's Sunday and the last day we are here at Kamp Komfort in between Peoria and Normal IL. Dealt with a sick pup all night and last couple days, so we were shot today and did not do any touring. Liberty got a stomach bug of some kind with vomiting etc. Doreen sat up with her. We gave her a med provided in advance by our vet and she seems better today.
We did venture out this afternoon into Normal IL to fuel the truck and pick up a few groceries before our trip to Elkhart tomorrow. I was sitting here verifying our route and Doreen reminded me we switch to Eastern time zone tomorrow, so we lose an hour and are going to have to hit the road an hour earlier than normal. The trip tomorrow is about 250 miles, so historically about 5 hours for us plus a little more for doggie stops.
This evening I did my normal dump/flush tanks, stow hoses etc. An Alliance Valor pulled in a few spots down and Doreen talked with them while she was walking Liberty. It was Tim Davis and a friend and they are headed for Knoxville Iowa and the Sprint Car Nationals! So I went down and talked with him a bit. Sorry, no pictures. I am slipping! Not completely back in the Blog and touring mode yet...!
So rise and shine at 0500 hrs, start hitching at 0530 hrs and "wheels up" at 0600 hrs which should get us into Elkhart around 1230 or so Eastern
